A review of The Sama Karate Organisation by Janine Darby written on Friday 1st of April 2011
I totaly disagree with the statement that SAMA push children quickly into grades. SAMA graddings are a progressive laid down system, official recognised by the karate governing body. The time required for students going for grades is clearly laid down in our membership books and all SAMA instructors strictly apply this system under our constitution. Times of going for grade are also checked at the time of grade either by one of 3 SAMA grade examiners who are an 8th dan, a 6th dan or a 4th dan depending on the area. Students from the East Sussex area are graded by Hanshi Gibson 8th dan one of the Worlds top respected masters with over 51 years experience in the martial arts.
SAMA being the largest karate group for children in the South speaks for itself. However because of this we do have many people outside SAMA who feel the need to disrespect our system usually for their own gains. If the dissatisfied person in question would like to email the SAMA head office at: headoffice@samaorganisation.co.uk with the class venue that they attended and the instructors name then therefore we would have the opportunity to look fully into their complaint and at least have the chance to reply personally to them..
